Peace Center

The goals of the Peace Center will focus upon reducing bias, bigotry, discrimination and intolerance; providing training programs in these areas for teachers and the community; coordinating organizations involved in fostering peace; and providing a neutral location for conflict resolution.  It is hoped the Peace Center will reach out and help people from varied backgrounds.  Finally, the Peace Center will encourage people not only to respect diversity but to value it as something essential to our spiritual unity.

The Salem County Peace Center Committee invites you to visit our facility and browse through our materials. The materials in the Salem County Peace Center -- housed in the Library -- cover:

  • the historical aspects of the Holocaust and other genocide-related events,
  • teaching about diversity and tolerance, and
  • information for families and individuals on how to resolve conflict in their lives.

Materials that are not available may be obtained from other libraries through JerseyCat, the N.J. State Library Interlibrary Loan System.
