Glass Center - Glass Art
Salem Community College’s Glass Art program allows students to explore a personal aesthetic through the medium of glass. In the two-year program, students focus on and develop a working knowledge of the flameworking, kilnforming and cold-construction processes. The curriculum stresses both technical and conceptual acuity, and builds on a strong foundation in drawing, as well as two- and three-dimensional design. The associate in fine arts degree enables graduates to continue their education in pursuit of a bachelor of fine arts degree in glass or sculpture at a four-year institution or to begin working professionally as independent artists.
