Financial Aid

Eligibility

To receive financial aid, a student must meet the following eligibility requirements:

  1. be a U.S. citizen;
  2. be registered with Selective Service (if required);
  3. have attained a high school diploma, GED, or successfully passed an ability-to-benefit test approved by the U.S. Department of Education;
  4. be accepted in a program of study leading to a degree or certificate;
  5. not be in default status on a student loan;
  6. maintain satisfactory academic progress;
  7. demonstrate financial need; and
  8. have registered for at least three credits.

To receive financial aid from the state of New Jersey, a student must comply with the general eligibility requirements and also must be:

  1. a New Jersey resident for at least one year and
  2. registered for at least six credits.
