POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT

POSITION TITLE: Coordinator of Institutional Research and Planning

SALARY GRADE: 23

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in related field. (Master’s degree Preferred)

Experience: Minimum of 3 years directly applicable experience in research, strategic and operational planning and grant writing in an educational institution.

Skills/Abilities:

  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and planning skills and demonstrated knowledge of statistical applications.
  • Must be computer literate with a working knowledge of such software as, Microsoft office and internet, etc.

REPORTING STRUCTURE:

Reports to: Dean of Administrative Services & Planning

Supervises: N/A

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION:

  1. Serve as the Institutional Research officer.
  2. Maintain and submit state/federal mandated reports, (i.e. IPEDS, SURE reports), surveys and internal reports.
  3. Directs the institutional planning process, annual and long-range, and prepares a strategic plan for the college.
  4. Actively seeks, researches and identifies funding sources from corporations, corporate foundations, state and federal agencies.
  5. Writes grant proposals and acts a consultant where necessary for all college grants.
  6. Coordinates the development and submission of all grant applications, grant record keeping and reporting.
  7. Manages and coordinates regional and specialized accreditation. Acts as the liaison to the Middle States Association, provides required information on an annual basis, and prepares periodic reports.
  8. Keeps Executive Staff apprised of accreditation schedules, issues and of grant opportunities.
  9. Supports instructional program assessment.
  10. Cooperates with the college community regarding institutional research related issues.
  11. Assist Division heads with institutional data needs i.e. Program Review, Title III, etc.
  12. Performs other related duties and tasks assigned by Dean of Administrative Services.
