Phone: (302) 985-1622
Email:  cwolfe@salemcc.edu

Coach Craig Wolfe begins his seventh year at Salem Community College.  Previously the Director of Athletics at Wilmington College and SCC, Wolfe decided that it was time for a change and is now the Director of Golf and Head Pro at Town and Country Golf Links, while continuing as the Head Golf Coach for the Oaks.  Wolfe stresses discipline, respect and effort in his program to promote success on the golf course, in the classroom and beyond.  As a teaching professional, Coach Wolfe’s philosophy is based on helping his players use their individual natural athletic ability to develop an effective, repeatable swing.  Coach Wolfe’s philosophy also prioritizes the importance of developing and implementing effective course management skills.

Coach Wolfe is committed to providing opportunities for golfers of all abilities while building a competitive program at Salem Community College. Anyone interested in participating should contact Coach Wolfe and/or the Athletic Office at SCC. The Oaks are very excited about the 2009 season.

Coach Wolfe earned his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Bridgeport (CT) and his Master of Education degree from Wilmington College (DE).  Wolfe resides in Newark, DE with his wife Rosie and their son Nick.

Assistant Coach
Orville Johnson

Orville (O.J.) Johnson is in his second season with the Oaks golf team and is excited about getting back to the NJCAA National Tournament with one or more SCC golfers again this year.  Coach Johnson is an Assistant Golf Professional at Town & Country Golf Links and has a passion for teaching the game.  Along with being an outstanding golf instructor, OJ is also a tremendous player in his own right.  Coach Johnson holds the course record at the now defunct Holly Hills Golf course shooting a 62 back in 1984.  More recently, OJ carded a magical 59 from the tips at Cohanzick Country Club in June 2008 to capture another course record.

Assistant Coach

Tom Foster

Tom Foster joins the SCC Coaching Staff bringing with him a great deal of experience, enthusiasm and success.  Tom retired from Woodstown High School after 34 years as an educator including the last 10 years as the Head Golf Coach.  The Woodstown High School Golf team enjoyed a great deal of success during Tom’s tenure, capturing two conference titles, as well as a South/Central NJ Sectional title.  Tom is thrilled to have had the opportunity to introduce so many young players to the game and has enjoyed watching many of them continue to play competitive golf in college.  Coach Foster is an Assistant Golf Professional at Town & Country Golf Links and is excited about joining the staff at SCC.
